FLOURSH HOT LUNCH PROGRAM is available at our school and will be starting on Monday, September 14th.  This is completely optional.  

To participate in this program you must register your child or children so that the chefs know how much food to prepare. Please register your child as their name must be on the list in order to be served on a daily basis. Thank you for your attention to this matter, it is greatly appreciated. 

The registration will only take a few minutes.

About the Food

Our school meal program is supported by Flourish! School Food Society. All of the meals are scratch cooked with great care, using many local ingredients. Flourish strives to provide nourishing foods. Their goal is to have all of their food devoured by students. They provide choice, giving students familiar foods that they commonly like, while also introducing them to some new flavors and cuisines of the world. Flourish finds that when students eat lovingly prepared food with peers in a safe and familiar setting, they are prone to trying (and sometimes liking!) new things.

Flourish provides a hot entrée, salad and occasional dessert that is served buffet style, so students can select the items that interest them. Flourish never serves pork and often includes vegetarian options on their menu. The salad is always vegetarian and about 40% of their hot entrees are also vegetarian. A lot of the meat that is served by Flourish is halal, but not all.

Food is served by caring school staff. All food is handled adhering to strict safety and sanitation plans. Flourish is not-for-profit and values oriented and committed to local sourcing whenever possible. For more information about their menus and organization, visit: www.flourishschoolfood.ca/menu. Pricing

Accessing Flourish’s hot lunch requires subscribing to receive food every school day and paying (if you can) once per month. The full monthly rate is $120 (which works out to $6.80/meal). You can also sign up for a subsidized rate, all the way to $0. Pricing is pay-what-you-can.

You only have to sign up once each school year. Once you've signed up, you will be automatically charged each month (for the price you agreed to pay). We do not offer discounts for missed days (though we can pause your subscription for extended absences).

You can always cancel or pause your subscription by notifying Flourish directly via email or telephone. We will issue prorated refunds for any meals you paid for but did not receive due to cancellation.
