erase = expect respect & a safe education

erase helps students, families, and school staff work together to build safe, caring, and inclusive school communities.

As the BC Government's school safety and student well-being initiative, erase provides parents, students, and educators with information, resources, and support to help create safe, respectful, and welcoming learning environments. The program addresses topics such as bullying, online safety, mental health, substance use, discrimination, racism, and strategies that help students feel safe, connected, and supported at school.

erase also includes the anonymous Report It tool, which allows students to confidentially report safety concerns to their school when they need support.

Creating safe schools where every student feels welcomed, respected, valued, and included is everyone's responsibility. By working together, students, families, educators, and the broader community can foster learning environments where all students feel a sense of belonging and have the opportunity to thrive.
