Dear River Runner Families,
A few reminders for everyone:
- There is no school tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 23rd, for Professional Development Day.
- If you haven’t had a chance yet, please go onto SD62 Online Consent Forms for this school year. Thank you very much.
- Attached is information to get online with MyEd and check your child’s attendance.
- On Halloween dress up, Friday, Oct. 30th, our River Runners are welcome to wear their costumes to school to celebrate Halloween.
- Our River Runners are young and everyone has different comfort levels for blood and gore. Please keep this in mind as costumes are being selected and put together for school. Some students will have a hard time with images of soldiers, skeletons, fake blood, and other costumes related to death or war.
- We know that masks are a part of costumes at this age so if face makeup will not do the trick, we are fine with masks being worn at Saseenos.
- Please keep accessories and weapons at home.
- Thank you for helping your child find an appropriate costume for the school day.
- Community Pumpkin Walk on Sunday Nov. 1st Information attached
From our PAC:
A reminder that our Halloween Dance is coming up - Friday October 30th. Please note the dance is happening during school hours this year and will be open to just staff and students. It will be a FREE Spooktacular dance for the whole school!
-We are currently in need of a few more Bake Sale donations for the dance- they can be either home-baked or bought.
-Please drop off your donations at the office on Thursday afternoon (October 29) or Friday morning (October 30).
-A few notes:
*If you are bringing your baking in a dish you would like back, please label it with your first and last name and we will get it back to you.
-*If your items are GF or DF please label them and let us know.
-*If you think you can help out with baked goods please email Laura at laur.c.smith@gmail.com
