Week Ahead for September 28th
September comes to a close! Thank you so much for attending our Meet the Teacher evening if you came. It was great to see many new and returning faces! If you were unable to come, we will be sending out an email with important information for parents that we went over. Important “yellow” forms came home this week that need to be filled out and returned to your child’s teacher next week. A “TO DO” list for parents also came home regarding online consent, verification form update procedures and other beginning of year information that needs to be confirmed. Please take some time this weekend to go over these items.
Scent Free—A reminder to parents and students that Happy Valley is a Scent Free Building. Scented products may provoke symptoms in sensitive individuals, including triggering responses in those with allergies and chemical sensitivities, the Board expects all staff, students and school district visitors to be aware and considerate about the effect of scented products anywhere in the District.
**Important Parking Notice – Please Read** Parking is extremely limited, and it is critical that all designated staff parking spaces remain available for staff only — no exceptions. Parents are not permitted to park in the staff lot adjacent to the playground at any time. This includes before, during, and after school. While we understand the challenges of drop-off and pick-up, when staff parking is taken by others, it directly disrupts school operations.
PAC -Our Parent advisory council has their first meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at 6:30 in the library. All parents are welcome to come and find out more about the PAC. You can find out more about the PAC at https://happyvalleypac.ca/ or email them at happyvalleypac@gmail.com
